Eclipsed Ink Press is a locally-distributed press that offers a competitive royalty-based compensation structure. Authors earn a net revenue based on the model chosen:

We publish a limited number of titles each year to offer more personalized support and attention to our authors, due to our current small publishing team.
Collaboration is paramount: we partner with our authors to build awareness of their work through review and award submissions, endorsements, newsletter campaigns, and social media promotion.

What is your editorial process like?
We’ve partnered with Midnight Muse Edits for professional developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading – all at no charge to the author. Authors are involved in every step to ensure the final product reflects their voice and vision.

How long does the publishing process take?
From acceptance to release, expect roughly 9–12 months to allow for editing, design, and pre-launch promotion.
How do royalties work?
We offer competitive royalty rates, paid quarterly or biannually, depending on the distribution platform.
Will I have input on my book cover and marketing?
Yes, as authors ourselves, we understand the importance of creative control: from start to finish, authors have input on how their brand is represented through us.
What makes an ideal submission for your team?
We ask those who submit a sample of their debut manuscript to have its completion ready by the time new authors sign on to be represented by our press.
60,000 words is the benchmark of novels, though if the story fits with less words, exceptions may be made.
Flash fiction and short story anthologies are on a rolling basis – see our contests page for ongoing or upcoming contests! The word count range is 1,000 to 1,500 words for flash fiction and short stories from 1,500 to 7,500.
Do you work with debut authors?
We specialize in firsts — first novels, first nightmares, first worlds.
Our press is dedicated to debut authors ready to make their mark in fantasy, thriller, and horror. Every great storyteller starts somewhere — we exist to make sure that “somewhere” shines.
Do authors keep their rights?
We operate under fair and transparent contracts. Authors retain certain rights (e.g., film/TV, international editions) unless otherwise negotiated.
Can I submit if my book crosses genres?
Absolutely! We love genre-blending!
